The principal is the most responsible person for a school. The principal of a school has to play the different roles and he has to do the different tasks at a time. The school principal should be good in dealing the school matters as well as at dealing the matters outside the school which is related to it. The school principal has the authority to make a decision about the school to maintain its discipline and the decisions are usually based on the personality and skills of the principal. So principal should be the most competent and eligible person who can run the school or another educational institute.
Here are some of the skills or characteristics of a principal that are considered necessary.

Organized
The school principal has to be organized and he should be able to organize the different task.The principle is the person who is mainly responsible for the school management and he has to maintain the discipline within the educational organization and to achieve that he has to perform different activities or supervised the activities. Being an organized person effect the principal personally as well as collectively to the whole school. A principal can develop the different rules and regulation to make the institution more organized and disciplined. 

People person
A principal should always have to be a people person. Because principal has to interact with different people. So he should know that how to interact with people effectively. People person benefit you many ways because you can profit the institution by interacting the people and making deals. As a principle, you have to interact with people from different fields and professions. And if you are rude to them then probably your business or school is not going to make the progress.

Communication skills
Communication skills are necessary for the job of principal and he should be very good at communication. The important thing about interaction is that which words and gestures he uses for the communication. A principal with good communication skills can make successful business deals and can handle the conflict in a far better way. Having good communication skills can also help the principal to strengthen the relationship with his employees and help them to improve the performance of a school or other educational institution. The principal should also encourage the teachers to have better communication with students to improve their performance.
