It has been said for ages that students tend to listen to teachers who are close to them. Students don't like teachers who are rude to them. They want teachers who love them and share a good relationship with them. We all expect to see teachers who treat us nicely; it's a proven fact that students don't like teachers who teach them just for the sake of teaching. They want teachers who understand their feelings and treat them properly. They want to see teachers who understand the importance of education and know the best ways of helping their students to understand everything effectively. Most of the teachers are not provided with behavior management training during their training processes therefore, most of them fail at having a good relationship with their students. The training helps them to be developed and organized only. They know the targets they need to meet but they usually fail at fixing the hindrances that stop them from meeting the targets such as the contribution from the students. If students don't contribute properly then the teachers will fail at giving effective results. To get better results, the teachers need to share cordial relations with their students. Here's how a teacher can share a cordial relation with students.

1) Flexibility
The first tip is to be flexible. Don't be rigid, be flexible. You approach should be flexible and you should know how to adjust your approach according to the situations. A poor result by a student might not be acceptable but you accept the result and refrain from scolding the student because you understand that he's been going through personal problems and this is not the right time. You have to be flexible and understand your students and their problems.

2) Help them
The second tip to share a cordial relation with students is to understand their problems and help them. If they don't understand something, it is your responsibility to help them until they don't understand the concept properly. You shouldn't get tired of teaching them because it is your responsibility. And helping them is not just about helping them at school, if there's something that's bothering them then it is your responsibility to report to the management or send the student to a counselor.
